Gaosong holds a B.A. in Theater Arts from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities and an M.A. in Arts Administration from Columbia University, NYC.
Gaosong V. Heu is a Hmong American entrepreneur, cultural leader, and artist based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She is the Chief Executive Officer of Marc Heu Pâtisserie Paris, where she leads company-wide strategy, operations, finance, partnerships, and brand development for a multi-location, seven-figure hospitality company.
Since founding the business in 2019 with $200 in startup capital, Gaosong has guided its growth into a resilient, multi-channel enterprise with permanent retail locations, regional wholesale partnerships, and long-term production infrastructure. Under her leadership, the company earned Mpls/St. Paul Magazine’s Critics’ Choice: Gold – Best Bakery Café (2025), and Executive Pastry Chef Marc Heu received a James Beard Award nomination (2024).
In parallel, Gaosong is an accomplished actress, vocalist and cultural practitioner trained in Western classical music and traditional Hmong folk singing and is a recipient of the 2025 MN State Arts Board Cultural Expression Grant.
Her artistic practice informs her leadership and community engagement, inspiring cultural change for generations to come.
